Baby Sweater

So I've had this sweater almost done for a while now! I finally sat down and finished the second sleeve and put the buttons on!

Yarn: Stash
Color: Green and Blue
Pattern: Puerperium Cardigan
Notes: I used a heavier worsted weight and the sweater ended up being more like a 3-6 month size instead of newborn... I would recommend using a light weight worsted or a DK weight.

Baby Hat

Yarn: Acrylic from Stash
Color: Blue
Pattern: Baby Amanda Hat
Notes: This is a really simple, yet putsy, pattern. But the end result looks really cool!!!!! I only did 1.5 lace repeats on the top part. I did it in blue and it totally will work for my little guy! Even though it is a "girl" pattern.

Not Much

There's not much going on here, lots of gardening! I did get about 10 minutes of spinning in this week.

I also made mom a dish cloth. Nothing fancy.
Cast on 3
K2, kfb, knit to end.
Continue until desired half size.
K2, k2tog, knit to end.
Continue until you have 3 sts left, K3tog.
Tie off and weave in ends.

(I would add a picture of my spinnings but our computer decided it needed repairs.)

Lots of Slippers!

I made my little brother's slippers and they LOVE them!

Little Brother wanted Moccasins =)
And of course I had to make my sister-in-law's each a pair!
Then I opened it up to the ladies at my church that if they wanted me to make slippers for them I'd sell them! I was not expecting the response I got!

Here are all the slippers I have made so far!

And I have at least 2 more pairs in the works!

THEN! Mom had me make 2 pairs for a birthday party that the children were invited to.

Here's the finished baby hat and booties for the Lady at my church.
 They ended up really cute!

Yarn: Stash
Color: Purple
Pattern: Barley (Baby Size)
Notes: This is an awesome pattern.

Flower Pattern I found at The Sitting Tree

Also for the past few days we've had beautiful weather up here in Minnesota! Highs in the low 30's! just warm enough to make some really cool frost:

But with the warm weather we had a HUGE snow storm.... And back into the freezer we go. I found some time to make Mom and Little Sister some new slippers! I'll try to get that post done soon...
Our tractor was buried!

My Mittens

After making mittens for the rest of the family I finally got around to making myself a pair of wool mittens!

I still need to work on my color work. I tend to knit that part a little tighter than the rest of the mitten

Pattern: Mittens for Children and Adults
Yarn: Cascade Yarns 220 &Knit Picks Wool of the Andes
Color: This yarn was yellow but I dyed it to be green & Fedora
Notes: 10 rows of K1P1 ribbing then knit stockinet stitch for another 10 rows. Then increased every 8 sts like the pattern called for.

Puppy Scarf

I made this for my puppy nephew! He's so cute. I used left over yarn from my sister-in-laws mittens so now they can match. I used size 11 needles and did "Half a washcloth".

Cast on 3 sts
Increase in the second stitch on every row.
Made a yarn over button hole.
and cast off.
Sew on the button and place on your cute dog.
